Forest Friday, December 6th

The day that VINS visited!

"I hope to see a snow tree."
 "I hope to see snow."
"I hope to relax under my tree."
"I hope to see the sun."

We worked hard on our forest journals today. The Kindness Elves had left us pencils and we were very excited to use them. Many of us recognized sight words in our writing today! We were able to use the Word Wall as a tool.

In the amphitheater we passed by turkeys that Mr. Sadowski brought. They reminded us of Thanksgiving and VINS since VINS takes care of birds.

For snack we ate banana bread muffins! We made them yesterday in the classroom. We heated them up over the fire and then ate them up. So tasty!
We sang a song about the muffin man!

Our VINS lesson was about animal homes in the winter. We watched a puppet show and then created a scene of where animals make their homes. Before heading inside we went on a walk to see if we could find any real animal homes.

It was a beautiful day out in the forest!
