Decemburrr

Here is a glimpse into what we've been up to in December!

One snowy recess morning we gathered at the top of the hill on the playground, shouting for Miss Wetzel to take a big group picture! It's a keeper!

We have begun to do Math Menu in the morning for our morning work. We get to choose an activity that helps us practice different skills, such as ordering and writing numbers as well as counting.
During our literacy time we have been focusing on uppercase letters. We have officially learned and practiced all of them! Sometimes Mrs. Marshall (our school Occupational Therapist) comes to do a whole group lesson with us on how to carefully write the letters.
In the forest we have been enjoying the snow! We bundle up and love to have warm treats over the fire. We were lucky enough to have VINS come and do a lesson for us about what animals do during the colder months. It was a perfect way to introduce the season of winter.
We met some Holiday Kindness Elves for the month of December. They helped us come up with ideas for how to be kind, especially when they lost their magic one day!

We had a great month of projects and fun.  We hope everyone has a fun holiday vacation!
