"I hope to see dead trees."  -Relaxed Red Fox
"I hope to see trees." -Wonderful White-Footed Deer Mouse
"I hope to play with my friends." -Magnificent Moose

We learned how to stretch our words to hear sounds and so many of us tried to do that in our journals this week.  We are also working on adding details to our pictures and to use realistic as well as careful coloring.  The letters that we have learned so far are: a, b, c, d, e, f, g, i, m, n, o, r, s, t, and u

Since it has been raining a lot this week, we suited up in our rain pants before heading outside.  Some of us had to borrow boots.  Since it is getting colder and wetter out in the woods we are hoping to start wearing some tough boots to keep our feet warm, dry and happy!

During play time some of us practiced the careful critter handling that we learned last week.

For snack we had macaroni and cheese.  We boiled the noodles over the fire first.  Then we added peas (and we all had to try and eat at least one!).  Lastly we added a little bit of red onion, cheese, and bread crumbs.  Brave Black Bear said that it was the best macaroni and cheese that he had ever tasted!

In our group learning activity we acted out Halloween stories.  Miss Robinson's group read Room on the Broom, Mr. Sadowski's group read The Teeny-Tiny Woman, and Miss Wetzel's group read The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything.
