The day that we explored the forest!
When we got up to our forest classroom we picked our sit spots. A sit spot is a place where you can sit and observe what is around you. It can be a little hard at first to sit really quietly but we will keep practicing!
After sit spots we shared out in a circle about what we noticed in sit spots. We sat around a fire which was so nice a warm. Some of us helped to split the wood for the fire.
We also had play time today! Some of us moved wood while others found a plank of wood and made a seesaw.
Before we headed inside we had our first forest snack. It was delicious popcorn that was made even better with a bit of salt. We can't wait to get back outside next week!
