Forest Friday, March 1st

On our walk up we noticed there had been a lot of animal activity. We could tell that deer had slept and walked around our space while we were away. We could also tell they had been there because we could see scat.

Since it was our first time back in the forest we had to really work hard to remember where our sit spots were. We had such a successful time being quiet and observing nature.  When we shared around the fire we noticed what had been covered in snow, various tracks, and the sun shining.

During play time we had fun on the ice. Some of us chipped away at it with sticks. Others slid down the steep rocks. It was a challenge to climb on top of the rocks but that didn't stop us from trying!

This is a creation that Brave Blue Jay made out of sticks. He said that it is a horse and we found out that it is very fragile.

We are looking forward to heading outside again next week!
