Flying through February!

Here is a glance at what we've been up to in February!

Math Menu is the best part of the day for some of us! We look forward to it each day. We are continuing to work on patterns, counting, and even estimating.
Number Corner is our time to check our calendar, keep track of the number of days that we have been in school, and check the weather. We sing songs and practice our counting as well. When we returned back from our holiday vacation we were given the opportunity to lead Number Corner time! We get to wear Miss Wetzel's number jacket and help our friends answer important questions and share important observations. We are really loving the responsibility!
We got the chance to learn more about fire safety this month. It is always exciting when our Fire Fighter friend comes in to see us.
This month we also started the "Lunch Bunch". A few of us get to eat in the classroom every Wednesday! We get to chat and it feels like we're at a fancy restaurant.
We made it to our 100th day of school! Some of us brought in a collection of 100 things. We made many projects to celebrate the day. We made posters to show 100 of something (raindrops, pepperonis, and even petals on a flower). We also made 100 piece fruit loop necklaces and enjoyed nibbling on a 100 piece snack.
It was really a fantastic day and we had a blast with Granny Wetzel. She is Miss Wetzel's grandma and she is 100 years old!
This month we also celebrated Valentine's Day. We transformed into Love Bugs. Each of us got to sit in the "Chair of Love" and got showered with Valentines from our friends.
Right before our February vacation we had an unexpected fire drill. We were in our pajamas and the snow was coming down hard! We were able to take refuge in Mr. Clough's van and we were very thankful because we were able to be dry and warm. What a crazy way to end February!
