Hello!
My name is Erika Wetzel (easy to remember since it rhymes with pretzel) and I am one of the Kindergarten teachers at the Ottauquechee School. This will be my ninth year of teaching Kindergarten. I graduated from the University of Vermont in 2010 with a degree in Elementary Education. I like to think that I was meant to be a teacher because many of my family members are teachers too! I love to learn and I hope to inspire that within my students as well.
When I am not in school you can catch me hiking, reading, and baking tasty treats. This summer I visited with friends and family, hiked, ate ice cream, and performed at the Lebanon Opera House in Annie! It was a summer for adventure.
This year will be filled with exploring, learning, and so much fun! Each week we will be heading outside for Forest Friday which will be a blast for students and teachers alike! I feel lucky to work at OQS with such inspiring educators who go above and beyond to provide memorable experiences for their students. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your families.
Please get in touch with me if you have questions, concerns, thoughts or an interest in volunteering.
